Øresund Bridge FAQ Practical information about the Øresund Bridge ← Back to the homepage

Privacy

This page explains, in ordinary language, how information is handled when you read the Øresund Bridge FAQ. It describes what this particular website actually does — not what a general news website might do.

What this website is. A set of static HTML files. There is no login, no user account, no database, no analytics service and no advertising technology on these pages.

Information you choose to send us

The newsletter box on the homepage and the form on the contact page are front-end demonstrations. When you press their buttons, the page only shows a short message in your browser. Nothing is transmitted, nothing is written to a database and nothing is stored anywhere.

If you write to one of the e-mail addresses on the contact page, the address and the content of your message would be received by the editorial team and used to answer you. That correspondence would be kept only as long as it is needed for that purpose.

Server and hosting records

Like any website, this one is delivered by a hosting service. The host may automatically record technical data such as the IP address of the visitor, the browser and operating system, the page requested and the time of the request. Such records are used for security, troubleshooting and the technical operation of the service, and how long they are kept is determined by the hosting provider.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website does not intentionally set cookies and does not use tracking pixels, fingerprinting or third-party scripts. The only JavaScript on the site opens and closes the mobile navigation menu and validates the demonstration forms; it stores nothing in your browser. The cookies page describes this in more detail.

Third-party services

No external fonts, maps, video players, analytics services, advertising networks or social plugins are embedded in these pages. There is therefore no transfer of your reading activity to third parties through this website.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, data protection law may give you the right to ask what personal data is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to certain processing and to complain to a supervisory authority. In Denmark and the rest of the European Economic Area these rights follow from the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and national supplementary legislation.

Because this demonstration site stores nothing itself, such a request would normally concern the hosting provider’s server records or correspondence you have sent to the editorial address. Requests can be made through the contact page.

Children

This guide is written for adults planning a journey. It is not directed at children and deliberately collects no information from them.

Changes to this page

If the website later gains features that process information — a working newsletter, analytics, embedded media — this page must be updated before those features go live.
